We headed to Athens the second weekend of September for an Oktoberfest event at the club Friday night. Much to our surprise, we were the youngest guests by a long shot. Despite the crowd, we made the most of the night by enjoying the yummy soft pretzels, delicious beer, and the polka band. The next day we headed to Bevan's office to tailgate for the first home game!
The following weekend Charles and I headed to Augusta for a belated birthday celebration for Mrs. Walker. We arrived just in time for a fun dinner at Taco Cat. Saturday, we all ran a few separate errands and then headed to Catina to watch the first half of the Georgia game. Charles and I then made our way downtown for the Art of Hearts celebration and a few beers. Then, we regrouped and got ready for dinner at Abel Brown with Mrs. Hopkins. We wrapped up the weekend with some Pub subs before driving back to Atlanta in time for me to overnight babysit a new family.
Last weekend, we went to Greenville, SC for Charles' friend's wedding. We ended up passing on the rehearsal dinner due to a late departure time (and forgotten RSVP!), so we grabbed a fun and delicious dinner at Soby's. Then, we headed to Juniper for some eclectic drinks and vibes. The next morning we walked through the Farmer's Market as we made our way to Methodical for coffee and then a biscuit place for breakfast. We tried to watch football at the popular Yee-Haw brewery but were quickly overwhelmed by the crowds. We settled on Carolina Ale House to watch the games, and a bunch of the other wedding guests met up with us there. Then, we made our way to the wedding for a fun night of celebrating! We wrapped up the trip with the most AMAZING bagels at Sully's Steamer. Oh my gosh, I cannot stop thinking about the deliciousness.
We had a bonus weekend day as we went to Athens for the Georgia Club Foundation golf tournament on Monday. It was so nice squeezing in some family time!
Now for a short work week before we head off to Barnsley Gardens for my work trip!
