Life Lately

October has been full of fun, and we are officially in the midst of some amazing Fall weather! The month started out (actually the last few days of September) with my company's annual retreat to Barnsley Gardens. With my new job, I have the responsibility of planning the trip, and it turned out to be a great success! We arrived around lunchtime on Thursday and mom, Sarah, the boys, and I had lunch at Woodlands Grill. Then, we explored the property before getting ready for the High Tea. That was followed by cocktail hour and dinner. We had our program the next day, and then I rode back to Athens with mom since Charles had a Bachelor party. We celebrated Hank's birthday and watched football Saturday, and then I headed back to Atlanta to go to the last regular season home game for the Braves with Dwaan and his Study Group!

The next weekend I was housesitting and Charles and I went to Kyma with the Roods and the future Mowrys. He ended up going to Augusta the next day, so I met up with the Harpers in downtown Smyrna for lunch followed by the Georgia game at Allison's. I called it an early evening as I headed back to the Curtis's to hang with Bear.

The following weekend was another one in town! Charles had brought Darby back with him, so we didn't have too much going on. The two of us went to Superica Friday night and then spent all Saturday at Cypress Street Pint and Plate for a pig roast with some of Charles's friends.

Honorable mention: my pumpkin brie at Family Dinner!

We really got into the Halloween spirit the next week as we went to Netherworld with the Harpers. I had not been there in so long and the decorations are so impressive! I had Supper Club on Thursday and then headed to Athens with Darby on Friday night to relax. Charles joined us on Saturday and we went to Academia for lunch with my mom. We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging with Sarah and the kids and drove around the neighborhood looking at Halloween decorations. The next morning we did our annual pumpkin carving party before I had to head back for my tennis match.

I can't believe the holidays are among us! We will wrap up the Halloween festivities with the Harper Halloween party on Friday, and then it will be Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations in full force!
