My parents headed down early, and the rest of us headed down Monday evening. Since we arrived late, we went to sleep so we could wake up early for a full day. Tuesday we did lots of bike riding around the island and spend most of the day at the beach. That night we ate dinner at Marley's Island Grille. The food was great and it was super kid friendly!
The next day we slept in and biked to the classic Salty Dog Cafe for lunch. Afterwards, Sarah, Sam, and I went over to our friend Marshall's beach house to visit while he was in town too. To add to the fun, we constructed a 7-hole putt putt course on the beach. Wednesday night we just stayed in and made tacos for dinner.
Thursday was filled with more beach time while the boys played golf. Afterwards, mom and dad babysat the kids while Sarah, Sam, Ben, Katie, Greyson, Marshall, and I went to Links for dinner. The food was great and we all ended the night with dessert martinis. The Thin Mint Martini was so so delicious!
The Country Thyme... so good! |
Friday we soaked up our last day at the beach. Afterwards, Ben, my dad, and I took Will putt putting. Then, we had dinner in Harbour Town at Quarterdeck followed by some ice cream! Saturday morning was an early wake up call to head back to Georgia to enjoy the rest of the holiday weekend.
Hilton Head is the perfect vacation spot for all ages, and this was definitely a trip for the books! Until next year!!
