Five on Friday

one // To start off the week, we celebrated my grandma's 94th birthday on Monday! Her birthday celebration always includes a banana split, so we made our way to Dairy Queen for an afternoon treat to carry on the tradition. Afterwards, Ben and Katie hosted the family for a birthday dinner.

I hope I get these genes!!
All the Avery girls!

two // Fourth of July is always one of my favorite holidays, and we had so much fun celebrating this year.  Since it fell on a Tuesday, a few friends and I decided to stay in town and go to the Braves game. They had an awesome fireworks show following the game and it truly felt like a classic American way to celebrate!

three // Before heading to the beach last week, I picked up a new book to bring with me. After researching some fun, easy-reads, I decided on It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover. I could not put this book down and read it in 4 days! I highly recommend this book and can't wait to pass it on to my friends!

four // After celebrating multiple birthdays and vacationing this month, I am looking forward to getting back into a routine, mainly with my eating and exercising habits. This week I joined The Forum Athletic Club, which is conveniently located in between my school and house... no excuses to not stop by after work this fall! I also have been exploring new recipes, which has me feeling motivated to get back on track with reaching my goals! This week I tried out this recipe for Zucchini Noodles with Creamy Avocado Pesto, and it was so yummy!

five // This weekend I am headed to Nashville to visit my friend Hannah who recently moved there. Nashville never disappoints, and I am so excited to help her get settled! On the weekend agenda we have the My Morning Jacket concert, hanging out by the pool, and a visit to a Barry's Bootcamp class, which is walking distance from her new apartment!

Happy weekend!!
