It is true... each month gets more and more fun! We have loved spending this month near our cousins and grandparents. Charlie has also enjoyed his little daycare class at Trinity Lutheran Academy!
Outings
-Augusta for Easter
-Downtown for Twilight
-Happy Hour at Pretty Boy
-Atlanta for Charlie Rood's birthday party
-Church for Mother's Day
Milestones:
-Still smiling all the time and at anyone
-Rolls all over... officially a tummy sleeper! First night was 4/17 when he slept on his tummy for the first time.
-Switched to 4-6 month schedule on 4/18
-Officially recognizes me and gets so excited when I pick him up from school
-Catnaps are getting shorter (30-45 min) and likes to be held during witching hour
-When getting out of his car seat he is starting to crunch to help sit himself up
-Reaches for toys and kind of throws his paci
-Had our first appointment with our new pediatrician, Dr. Garrard, on 4/14
-We moved up the strap on the Doona
-Graduated from the bassinet in the stroller
-Starting to find paci and putting it in and out of his mouth by himself
-Swats at things... understands cause and effect of how to make toys make noise
-Would follow the fork to my mouth with eyes when I eat
-Tried bananas on 5/4 and then avocado, sweet potatoes, and pears
-Can tuck legs in like he’s getting in position to crawl
-Getting better at swallowing purées instead of just spitting out and opens mouths for bites

-Still very drooly
-the sound of his little cough
-The way he rests his hands on me when I am nursing him
-The way he moves his tongue when he's ready to nurse
-Eyes are still blue.. seem to be lightening up?!
-The way he smiles at me when I start pulling his paci out when he wakes up or when he’s about to fall asleep, and then just smiles
-Love the way he crosses his hands and holds them across his chest
-Funny way he dives down to the spoon like a bird catching a fish when eating
-The way he tries to lick the wash cloth in the bath
-Still has a clogged tear duct but it seems to be getting better
-Had his first rash on his abdomen 5/15... maybe from post sickness?
-The way he sometimes would do around the worlds in crib trying to get comfy
-Had a few weeks of waking in the night around 4-5 (end of April/beginning of May) but would put himself back down easily
-Loves squeakers and Itsy Bitsy Spider
-Loves sweet potatoes!
-Giggles when I kiss his neck
-Starting to like books and “helps “ turn pages
-Loves “This is the Way the Ladies Ride”
-He is definitely a mommy's boy!
-Gets so sad when his bottles end and cries until he gets distracted
-Starting to get upset when I walk into a different room... doesn't like to be alone!
Looking forward to our first summer with a baby, including our first beach trip!
