Thanksgiving 2024

It's crazy to think that last year we celebrated our last Thanksgiving before we got married and this year we celebrated our last Thanksgiving before we become parents! Charles and I headed down to Augusta on Wednesday afternoon and grabbed a snack and drink at The Arsenal with his dad upon our arrival. Then, Sassy joined us for dinner at Takosushi followed by a few rounds of mahjong. On Thanksgiving morning, we watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and did a family workout outside before cooking. Then, we enjoyed a delicious Thanksgiving lunch including turkey, cornbread dressing, sweet potatoes, butter beans, collard greens, swiss bean casserole, squash casserole, rolls, and cranberry relish. I also prepared a twice-baked potato for myself as a "main." We all took a golf cart ride around the neighborhood and a quick nap. Then,  we played a few rounds of Spades before watching Die Hard!

Charles and I went to 7Brew on Friday morning for a coffee run. We hung around the house for a bit before grabbing lunch at NachoMama's with Maddie and John Paul. Then, we said our goodbyes and headed to Athens. We went straight to Sarah's to meet Bill Roquemore since he had been wanting to give us some of Aunt Pam's jewelry. I got a beautiful blue tanzanite and blue topaz ring! After we visited with them for a bit, we made our way to the GA/GT tailgate (where we froze!!!). We then watched the first half of the game at Sarah and Sam's and the rest at Mom's, which kept us up way past our bedtime with 8 overtimes!! On Saturday, Mom and I went shopping and got a pedicure while Charles did some work at Dad's office. Then, I met up with Charles for a quick lunch at Groove before getting ready for the cousin's get-together. It was so fun all being together watching football and enjoying each other's company. Once everyone left, we helped put the Pittard boys to bed and watched the other football games.

Charles and I headed out on Sunday morning to get back in time for our tour of the hospital. That night we also celebrated Chrismukali, which we decided to outsource this year by enjoying a nice dinner out at Fia. We had so much fun with the Roods, Berrys, and Pauls that we forgot to take a picture!

Now it's officially the countdown to baby Walker, and we are feeling ready!!
