Life Lately

We are halfway through summer and things have been to a fun start! Here are some highlights.

1. Later in May, we traveled to Lake Toxaway for Natalie and Kyle's wedding. We lucked out with a free place to stay and stayed at the Tritschler's house with Caroline and Jim. Despite being a dreary weekend, it was so relaxing and fun! We arrived Friday and I stopped by the club for a bit before joining Charles at the rehearsal dinner and welcome party. On Saturday, we did a nearby hike and took a boat ride, and then got ready for the wedding. We rallied and took advantage of free Delta Braves tickets I got through a work contact on Sunday night with Caitlin and Forrest.

2. We took our annual family trip to Hilton Head a little earlier this year! We went for Memorial Day weekend, which was a nice way to take advantage of the day off. However, we all left wanting a few more days!! Charles and I drove to Augusta on Friday night to break up the trip. We arrived around 11 and met the Pittards for a round of putt putt before heading to The Sandbar at Coligny for lunch (and yummy pina coladas! Our house was right near Harbour Town this year, so we enjoyed the golf course views and easy access to all the fun. Saturday night included dinner at Coast, which is always a favorite! On Sunday, we headed to Daufuskie for a day with Aunt Sherry and her sister since they were staying over there at their brother's. We explored the island and grabbed lunch at the Old Daufuskie Crab Company, which was popping!! Then, we headed home and enjoyed Mellow Mushroom takeout for dinner. Monday was a full beach day followed by a cookout at home and ice cream at Harbour Town. Tuesday was another fun beach day and dinner at Quarterdeck. The "young adults" took a bike ride to Links for a cock/mocktail to carry on the tradition. Then, we all grabbed lunch at Fishcamp on Broad Creek on our way out, which had the best hushpuppies!! A fun highlight we added to our trip this year was a game of "Real Life Clue!" It was so fun watching everyone try to "kill" their person throughout the week.

3.Charles and I worked from Augusta the rest of the week following Hilton Head since we had Mary Hamilton's wedding that Saturday. It was nice getting to spend some quality time with friends and family!

3. Another highlight from the past few weeks was meeting baby William Maxwell "Max" Mowry! It is always so fun seeing your friends become moms, and it has especially been fun picking Ellie's brain as I prepare for Baby Walker! This month we also celebrated Sarah and Baby Pittard with a Sprinkle, Charles and Nikita turned 32, and we had our 12-week appointment (actually at 13 weeks), which included more pictures of the baby and hearing the heartbeat again, which was 160!

4. It has also been a year since the Trinity Team's trip across the pond to England, so we got together for high tea at my house earlier this week. It was so fun to reminisce and also share the baby news with the team!

Looking forward to heading to the beach next week for the Fourth of July!
