Life Lately

The past two months have flown by and I can't believe it's already May! Here are some highlights from the spring.

1. KD @ UGA 100th Anniversary- Hannah came into town for the UGA Chapter of Kappa Delta's 100th Anniversary luncheon. We grabbed dinner at ZZ and Simones Saturday night and then enjoyed reminiscing on the glory days at the luncheon at ACC on Sunday!

2. Shelby's baby girl, Bridget Nancy Berry, was born on 3/20/24! We couldn't love her more and are so glad she is finally here.

3. Charles and I traveled to Austin the last weekend of March for his friend Michael Chunn's wedding. We arrived super early on Friday morning and walked to Jo's Coffee for some breakfast tacos. Then we explored South Congress Street before meeting up with some others to grab lunch at Veracruz tacos. Then we went back to South Congress for some shopping before we had to get ready for the welcome party. Charles and I tried to get apps at Aba beforehand, but it was so crowded. We opted for one drink and then headed to De Nada Cantina for the welcome party. On Saturday, we ventured out to Lutie's at the Auberge Resort for brunch. I had the best bagel and Charles had french toast. Then, we met up with some others for drinks on Rainey Street. We then got ready and headed to Mattie's for the wedding and reception! We flew home Sunday morning just in time to host Easter at our house. It was a busy busy weekend!

4. The following weekend I went to Athens since mom, Sarah, and I were going to Augusta early Saturday for the women's amateur championship at Augusta National. We had a great day and I shopped/grabbed lunch with the Walkers at Finch and Fifth while my mom went in with Sarah. Then that night, we picked up pizza and all spent the night at my parents' since Sarah and Sam were flying out to San Antonio early the next morning. *This is also when I took a pregnancy test and it was positive!! I drove back to Atlanta the next day so Charles and I could grab lunch at Kid Cashew and then I shared the news with him on our porch.

5. Masters Weekend- Charles and I went to the Masters tournament on Thursday with Sadie and Nick, which was such a blast! Then, we had a date night at the Garden Room and Chops on Friday to celebrate the baby news. We were dogsitting the Curtis's, so we had a lowkey weekend and then prepped for my Masters party on Sunday. The spread included Azaleas, pimento cheese sandwiches, bacon-wrapped chicken bites, a veggie tray, and homemade peach ice cream sandwiches! I also ended up telling my friends the baby news at this party since we were all together and I was going to have to break it at some point before our girls' trip the following weekend.

6. KD Reunion Trip to Middleburg, Virginia- After a long planning period, our KD Reunion Trip finally arrived! We landed in DC early on Friday morning and headed to the Salamander Spa where we had lunch followed by massages (a pedicure for me!). Then, we checked in to our beautiful house and enjoyed pizza and game night! The next morning we took a walk around the property and then made our way into town for lunch at King Street Oyster Bar and some shopping. Then, we headed to Greenhill Winery for the most amazing, private wine tasting! That night we had dinner at Field and Main, which was so fun! We hung around for a bit on Sunday before grabbing a quick lunch at a Mexican spot downtown and then heading home!

7. A much needed staycation weekend at home happened towards the end of April. Charles and I took advantage of housesitting the Curtis dogs by having a pool day at the St. Regis (since they are temporarily living there). That evening, we got dinner at Bone Garden with Ian, Sarah, Caitlin, Forrest, and baby Ellie!! On Sunday, I went to Serenbe for a day trip to celebrate Ellie and baby Mowry. We had a spa day followed by a yummy lunch!

8. The first weekend of May included a quick trip to Savannah for Thacker and Claire's wedding. We decided to head there early Saturday morning and went straight to lunch with Tyler, followed by drinks at the Thompson hotel rooftop. Then, we got ready for the wedding! Sunday morning we grabbed coffee and bagels on the way out.
