Biscayne Bach

My closest friends and I traveled south for my bachelorette the first weekend of December, and it was better than I could have imagined! Almost all of us flew out early Thursday morning, and Sarah surprised me with the sweetest headband veil at the airport, which was made from my mom's veil!! (this also worked wonders for getting us free stuff ;)). We picked up the golf carts, got unpacked, and then immediately headed to the adult pool for some drinks and lunch. The hotel completely outdid itself by greeting us with free champagne upon check-in, having snacks and a bottle of champagne in each room, and decorating the rooms! Not to mention my room got upgraded so we had an ocean view with a living space. I felt so special and all of the staff were so kind! Once Hannah arrived, we got our "Real Life Clue" started, and then I distributed everyone's gifts before we all got ready for the lingerie shower. Sarah did such a good job hosting and even had some fun surprises up her sleeve- each girl wrote down a date night idea for our first year of marriage, and we played a game where everyone had 1 minute to draw a picture of Charles and me and then I had to guess who drew which picture, and then a poem/lingerie reveal with some fun goodies for the years and stages of life to come. We ended the happy hour with a game where I played a song that reminded me of each person and they had to guess which one was for them. Once we wrapped up the festivities in the room, we made our way to Costa Med for dinner on the golf cart! This restaurant had a great outdoor area and yummy food, and was a perfect "chill spot" for the first night since a lot of us were exhausted from our early morning. Once we got back, a few of us chatted in the rooms before calling it a night.

The next day, we attempted to attend the hotel's yoga class, which felt like we were getting punked. Come to find out, the class was being held in a different location and we had crashed some private group's class!! It became the joke of the day since it was basically just stretching for 25 minutes. Afterward, we grabbed a quick breakfast before taking a walk around the property. Then, we went on a quick golf cart around the island. Some people stayed out to shop while the rest of us headed back to get ready for a full beach day. We briefly went over to the family pool for a bit before getting ready for our M I A M I night!! We all got dressed in our best white and made our way to Spanglish for cocktail hour. This spot was so so cool and had the best drinks, one being the "Selfie" drink where you can take a picture of anything which will then appear on your drink. The staff also took great care of us with free shots and a fun blow horn song. Afterwards, we headed to Doya for dinner, which was such an amazing restaurant. Not only was the food incredible, it had great vibes. Despite having to separate into two tables, we had so much fun! From there, we went to The Sylvester for lots of shots, dancing, and fun. A fun highlight of this was having my friend Carolyn come meet up with us!!

The next day started off with massages at the spa for a few of us. I loved taking advantage of the amenities before heading back to the family pool to meet up with everyone. We soaked up every minute of the scenery for our last day by turning our pool chairs around to watch the Georgia game (while also entertaining ourselves with some friendship bracelet making). We then headed upstairs to get ready during half time and watched the rest of it all together in my hotel room. While the outcome was not what we had hoped for, we did not let it dampen the mood for our last night. We put on our fiesta flare and made our way to Cantina, which was a delicious Mexican restaurant on property. The girls found their seats by guessing which "Most Likely To" name tag described them, and then we enjoyed our meals over lots of laughs and margaritas. We ended the night with a few of us grabbing a night cap at Rumbar, the hotel lobby lounge.

I truly am so lucky to have such amazing friends, and this trip was a reminder of that! I loved seeing how easily friends from different stages of life got along, and we made so many inside jokes and memories that we will remember forever. Now, we can't wait to all be together again soon for the big wedding day!!
