Two weekends ago we traveled to Harbour Island, Bahamas for Blake and Ellie's wedding! Charles and I were more than early to the airport since we were so excited, so we grabbed a celebratory beer before heading to our gate. Once we landed in Eluethra, we grabbed a water taxi to venture over to Harbour Island! We quickly checked in to the charming Ocean View Club, grabbed lunch before the kitchen closed, and hopped on our golf cart to explore the island. We met up with Ashton and Chris for a drink at The Briland Club, which is a newer development with a beautiful view of the water and some yachts! Then, we made our way back to the hotel to get ready for the rehearsal, which was conveniently at our place. The evening was full of yummy food, great speeches, and a fun nightcap on the beach for the welcome party bonfire.
Charles and I checked out Arthur's Bakery for breakfast Friday morning and boy was it a good choice. He had the most amazing banana pancakes (giving his mom's a run for its money!) and I decided on a boring bagel. I can't wait to go back here! Afterward, we met up with everyone on the beach and eventually grabbed lunch at Coral Sands. I enjoyed a veggie sandwich and Miami vice before heading back to get ready for bridal party photos! We hopped on our water taxi and made our way to The Other Side. It was the most beautiful and unique venue I think I have ever been to. The decor and scenery were simple yet beautiful, and so was Ellie! It was the most perfect day and evening celebrating them, and we didn't want it to nd!
Luckily the fun didn't have to stop! Saturday morning started off with breakfast at Cocoa Coffee and some beach time before we went back over to The Other Side for the wedding pool party. This was probably my favorite part of the weekend as we got to spend time with everyone poolside and enjoy a few too many passion fruit margaritas. The Boydstons also provided a whole lunch spread for everyone including baby ribs, burgers, mac and cheese, and salad. It was the best afternoon that went by way too fast. Once our crew made it back to Ocean View, we regrouped and enjoyed a booze cruise around the island, which ended at The Dunmore for a cocktail. That night our group split up for dinner, some going to Da Vine and others to Pink Sands. We met back up at Gusty's for a few more drinks!
Thankfully Charles and I had extended our trip so we could have another day. We soaked up some beach time with the Yanceys and Kukowskis (which included an impromptu oceanside massage for me!) and grabbed lunch with Jack and Sara at The Dunmore (probably our favorite lunch spot... the shrimp tacos were amazing!) before relocating to The Landing. It was fun getting to stay at another location to really soak up all the island had to offer. Charles and I embraced the afternoon rain by checking out Sammy's for a Kalik before our date night dinner at Pink Sands. I had the veggie pasta and Charles had the bolognese, and then we both were surprised when they brought out a fun birthday dessert! After our early dinner, we met up with Ellie, Blake, Sara, Jack, Maggie, and John at Valentine's to watch the Super Bowl. Despite being so exhausted, we were convinced to grab one more drink at Daddy D's, which ended up being so so fun.
Monday morning Charles and I grabbed one last island breakfast at The Landing, where we both tried the ricotta pancakes. Then, we explored the island one more time on the golf cart and soaked up a little beach time with Ellie and Blake. From there, we made our way back to the airport to head back to the states!
