We had a super chill New Years' holiday this year! We started the weekend with a date night a Roshambo Friday night; a new restaurant in the neighborhood. From the food to the charm, I loved everything about this place! The next morning, Charles and I headed to Augusta to spend the weekend with his family. We arrived just in time for a family lunch at Nachomama's. Then, his cousin Taylor and her boyfriend grabbed a drink at Indian Queen with us before we headed back to the house. That evening, we ordered in Mellow Mushroom pizza and watched the UGA vs. Ohio State game! It definitely raised our blood pressure and rattled our nerves, but we came out with a W sending us to the National Championship! We had a lazy Sunday complete with a delicious ham, collards, black-eyed pea, and cornbread lunch. Greyson and Marshall got back that afternoon, and we played on the trampoline before Taylor and Andrew headed home. The rest of us ate leftovers for dinner and then watched Fury! Sunday we said our goodbyes and headed back to Atlanta.

Goals for 2022 Reflection
Faith: Read the Bible
I am honestly so proud of myself for sticking to the guide I followed and completing this on time!!! Having a daily reminder and the Holy Bible app on my phone helped me stay disciplined and on top of the daily reading.
Mind: Read 6 new books
I reached this goal and more than tripled it thanks to the digital library apps Hoopla and Libby. Listening to audiobooks made my commute to work much more enjoyable and helped me cross off some books I have been wanting to read much quicker!
Health: Exercise 3x a week
Although I am not sure where I landed on a weekly basis from the past year, having a free (and amazing) gym at my office has been a game changer. I am looking forward to sticking to a few workout routines I enjoy and making more of my workouts in the am in 2023!
Relationship: Fun date night once a month
We were able to accomplish this without trying very hard thanks to all the weddings we had this year. I am so thankful for date nights whenever we have them, and I know I need to cherish them now before our lives get even busier!
Fun: Travel to a new state
Although I did not travel to a new state, I was able to travel to a few new places, including Palm Springs, Kiawah, and Lake Tahoe! I have a feeling I will be able to cross a new state off the list next year when we visit Greyson and Marshall in Oregon!
Word for 2023: Present
I tend to frequently reminisce on the past or worry about the future, so in 2023 I want to focus more on the present. I will do so by continuing my daily devotion in the morning, being more consistent with journaling, and filling my time with the people and things that bring me the most joy. My goal is to spend less time worrying and more time living! Hopefully, 2023 will bring new beginnings, new adventures, and new memories.
