Life Lately

The weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas always go by in the blink of an eye. After mom and I returned from Sea Island, it was full force preparing for the holidays. The first weekend of December started off with a double date with Kyle Mills and Natalie at Eight Sushi Friday night and the SEC Championship Saturday night. We ended up watching it at the Harpers and then made our way to hang out with Ian and Sarah for the late second half.

The next weekend was a whirlwind of plans. Friday night we had our annual Chrismukkali at Claire and Michael's house. On the menu was the most delicious whipped feta for an appetizer (Shelby), steak, pommes dauphinoise (me), salad (Shelby), and brussels (Nikita). The next morning I headed to the office early to put the finishing touches on our office's holiday party. From there, I quickly regrouped for my tennis match, which finished right in time for Trey and Nikita's Annual White Elephant! This year I brought a Bluetooth eye mask and went home with lottery tickets. We had a fun night playing "Families" and then I headed to Athens Sunday for the Tour of Homes at The Georgia Club with Sarah.

Last weekend, Charles and I headed to Charleston for Dave and Kelsey's wedding. We made a late appearance to the welcome party but quickly got on the same level as everyone else. Saturday we had breakfast at Page's Okra Grill followed by drinks at Dispensary with Allie and Madeline. The wedding was so festive and fun, but we called it an early night and got on the road early Sunday morning, which allowed some rest before the crazy week ahead. Monday night we drove to Athens for our Cousin Christmas. We all brought appetizers for dinner, and some highlights were Carmen announcing she is having a girl and toasting to Mammer Jane and Bumpa. Tuesday night we had my tennis team Christmas party, which included a candle swap for the girls and a sock swap for the guys again. Wednesday I headed to the Harpers for our Goodwill Christmas.

Now off to Athens for Christmas vacation!!
