Well, this August looked a little differently with no back-to-school for the first time since I was a little girl! The first weekend included a staycation bachelorette party for my friend Ellie. We kicked off the weekend with a girls' dinner at Le Bon Nosh, followed by espresso martinis at Storico Vino. Saturday we had a pool party at Ellie's sister's to make the most of the day before a private hibachi dinner! This was such a fun and unique experience. A few of us continued the fun on Sunday with a brunch at Anis.
We headed to Augusta the following weekend for some quality family time since Charles's aunt and uncle were in town. We had a delicious Asian salad Friday night and lots of wine. Saturday we all woke up and participated in a workout led by Charles. Then, we went to Cantina for lunch. Charles, Greyson, and I got a drink at The Arsenal before dinner. We had beef tenderloin and baked potatoes! Sunday we hung around and picked up lunch from the club before saying our goodbyes.
Two weekends ago included lots of celebrating! Friday night Charles and I enjoyed some quality time with a date night to Umi. Then, I had a baby shower for Riana with an engagement party for Elle and Connor right after. Sunday, we headed to Athens for baby Charles's 2nd birthday! It was a great weekend full of family, friends, and fun.
This weekend I headed to Cashiers for a retreat with my Bible Study group. We arrived Friday evening and enjoyed a delicious dinner on Nancy's back porch. Before we went to bed, Nancy gifted us with the sweetest matching robes! Saturday we woke up and headed to the house for a bagel and yogurt breakfast. Then, we listened to a chapter of "Resilient" before all finding a place around the property to have quiet time and connect with God. Then, we all came together for sandwiches before some shopping and croquet! We had the BEST time playing. After our game, we headed back to the house to get ready and head to Mountaintop for a delicious dinner.
It was the best weekend of reflection and restoration. Now off to football season!
