Farewell, 2020

Even though 2020 was a year like no other, I was able to share so many experiences and memories with family members and friends. What started off as a promising year of travel with a trip to NYC and the Bahamas complete and a vacation to Europe in the works, it rapidly plateaued and forced us to slow down and appreciate the things we have. From working on a "Quarantine Bucket List" while temporarily living at home in Athens to simplified vacations to Highlands and Saint Simons, I am thankful for all of the perspective and appreciation this year has brought me. That being said, I was more than ready to ring in the new year with feelings of hope and optimism.

I headed down to Savannah a few days before New Years Eve where I was able to fit in a hot yoga class at The Hub, a yummy dinner at The Vault, and some shopping on Broughton. From there I drove to Sea Island to meet up with a few girlfriends for the rest of the week! We all arrived Wednesday afternoon and immediately got ready for an awesome dinner at The River Bar. The next day, I played nine holes with my friend Kelli at The King and Prince followed by drinks at The Beach Club. We all regrouped at the hotel before heading to dinner at Bennie's Red Barn and a NYE house party!

Everyone was moving pretty slowly the next day, so we took it easy and eventually gathered up some energy to go to The Beach Club to watch the bowl games. Since most people were tired and leaving the next day, we traded in our night out at Gnats Landing for pizza and wine nearby our hotel. We ended up leaving a day early, which made for a much easier move on Sunday.

Cheers to you, 2021!
