August Recap

The past month was full of fun celebrations from the very start! The first weekend of August included a night out to celebrate my friend Michael finishing The Bar. We started off at Eclipse de Luna where things quickly escalated to The Ivy and in classic fashion, Johnny's Hideaway. I then continued to celebrate the last weekend before preplanning with a Braves game with Claire, Michael, and Bill.

Preplanning was full of excitement when I found out my best friend Claire and I received a grant to go to London next summer! We were anxiously awaiting the results and could not be more excited to continue learning as an educator, together. The first day of school quickly approached and things were underway!

Two weekends ago I traveled to Vermont for one of my best friend from college's wedding. We arrived to Boston Thursday afternoon and grabbed drinks at Tia's on the water. From there we had a few drinks with a friend on the most beautiful rooftop. After traffic died down we drove to Stowe and rested up for the big weekend. Friday morning started off with coffee in town and the most beautiful (and pretty strenuous!) hike at Stowe Pinnacle Trail. We treated ourselves to some beers, cocktails, and food at Idletyme Brewing. This had the best outdoor atmosphere and we had a blast spending time together in such a beautiful part of Vermont! We headed back to the Airbnb to regroup and get ready for the welcome party at TopNotch Resort.

We had a slower start Saturday but eventually headed back to town for breakfast at The Butler's Pantry. We then spent the rest of our afternoon at Von Trapp Brewing before getting ready for the wedding! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and the night was topped off with a departing firework show and after party back at The Roost at the resort.

Rounding out the month was a trip to Nashville last weekend for the UGA Vandy game. It was so much fun having so much red in black in Tennessee. I always look forward to seeing so many old friends during football season!

Bring it on, September!
