1. January. Truly, Madly, Guilty- By the author of a few other enjoyable books I have read (Big Little Lies and The Husband's Secret), I recently decided to pick up her newest book, Truly Madly Deeply. With an interesting plot of how an ordinary afternoon barbecue changed the lives of three families, I actually found this book pretty predictable. However, I enjoyed the ending and overall it was an easy read.
2. February/March. First Comes Love- This was another easy read by one of my absolute favorite authors. Emily Giffin is a fellow Atlantan, and I absolutely love every single one of her books. This particular one is set in Atlanta, so it was so fun reading a book where I recognized the street names, restaurants, etc. that were mentioned!
3. April. Present Over Perfect- I wanted to read this book after seeing numerous reviews and recommendations. It was an easy read that offers a good perspective on life. While I didn't necessarily love how the author mostly talked about her very specific experiences throughout the whole book, there were still some concepts that I related to and "words of advice" that could be applied to anyone.
Planning to add a few more good reads to the list for 2017! First up.. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover!
