Santa Barbara, CA

Charles and I just got back from the best (long) weekend in Santa Barbara, CA! We had a super early flight Thursday morning which put us there around 11:30 am. We immediately made our way to The Harbor View Inn, which had the best location right across from the water and within walking distance from all of the fun spots. Once we dropped off our luggage, we stopped by Jeannine's for lunch, where Rachel and Sunil also joined us. From there, we walked to Stearn's Wharf and enjoyed the views. We had a dinner reservation at Loquita, so we headed there early for a drink at the bar (which was nice since it was 8 pm our time). Afterward, we met up with the rest of the crew at the Mirador Rooftop for the welcome party!

We woke up pretty early due to the time change and walked to grab breakfast at Backyard Bowls and coffee from Savannah Roasting Company. Then, we walked down to the harbor and enjoyed exploring the battery before it was time to head to our lunch reservation at San Ysidro Ranch. We are so so glad we took Jenna's recommendation to check this place out. It was nestled off the main road and provided the most beautiful scenery! An added bonus was the delicious food. I had the most amazing ancient grain and kale bowl accompanied by table fries of course. Charles had the salmon salad, and we both enjoyed the blood orange margaritas. We let our lunch settle by exploring the gardens before heading back to the hotel and getting ready for the wedding (with another trip to the wharf for a beer of course!)

The wedding took place in the most amazing setting at The Rosewood Miramar. The hors d'oeuvres, band, and late-night pizza/onion rings were the stars of the show (besides Jenna and Brendan of course!). Unfortunately, Charles and I did not make it to the after-party at Wildcat Lounge, but our bodies thanked us for that the next day.

Charles and I checked out the farmer's market Saturday and ate a quick breakfast at Dune's Coffee in town. Then, we sat on the beach by the wharf before meeting up with Sunil and Rachel at Santo Mezcal for lunch. Afterward, we met up with some of the others at Fess Parker for some rose. We continued the fun at Topa Topa with most of the wedding crew! We quickly regrouped at the hotel just in time for a rooftop drink at Bluewater Grill before the catamaran cruise. A few of us grabbed dinner and drinks at Sandbar before calling it a night!

We topped off the weekend with a quick breakfast at Chad's (so yummy!!) before heading to the airport. Santa Barbara- we will be back!!
