Easter 2022

Easter is my favorite holiday, and this year was just as fun as the rest! The festivities even started a little earlier as I headed to Athens the weekend before for a little staycation/Palm Sunday.

The Thursday before Easter, Sarah and Sam joined us in Atlanta for the Jordan Davis concert. I headed to Athens the next morning to jumpstart my weekend since I had the day off, and Charles followed shortly after. Friday evening was full of fun for the kids with egg dying, decorating peep houses, baking "resurrection tombs", and joining lots of families at the club for an egg hunt!

The rain held off for the egg hunt at Athens Country Club Saturday morning. It was full of family fun from the petting zoo to face paint and balloon animals! Mom, Charles, and I grabbed lunch at Taqueria before the "grown-up" kids went to Escape the Space to use the gift card we got from Christmas. We had so much fun! Saturday evening, Charles, mom, dad, and I went to Latin Flavors for a yummy dinner.

We headed to church for a wonderful Easter service and then got busy in the kitchen! We had some reoccurring fan favorites including pommes dauphinoise, Asian coleslaw, and sandwiches (build your own style!). New to the menu were the crescent-filled "carrot" rolls. We wrapped up the celebration with a white wine tasting in the movie room! Once the kids left, Charles and I watched Black Panther with mom and dad before calling it a night.

And that's a wrap on Easter 2022!
