2022: We Are Ready For You!

The days in between Christmas and New Years seem like the twilight zone... especially this year! We were all cleared from quarantine just in time to ring in the new year. I was housesitting in Atlanta so had a pretty low key week leading up to the holiday. The girls + Charles went to Julie and Declan's welcome party at Southbound on the 30th since we would not be making the wedding. It was so good seeing some distant relatives and celebrating the couple. For New Years Eve, Charles and I went to Athens since our original plans had been canceled. We stopped by 706 to watch football before joining some friends at Bevan's house for the Georgia game and the ball drop. Saturday we hung around and grabbed dinner at Amici with Sarah, Sam, and Bevan. From there, we headed back to Atlanta so I could get ready for school and housesitting at another place!

We enjoyed the slow pace this past weekend since Charles ended up getting Covid. We ordered fancy take out from Under the Cork Tree since we were supposed to have a date night. Saturday was a little more active since I had admission observations at school and a tennis match. That night we grilled out burgers and watched James Bond.

As I reflected on 2021, I feel like my word of the year, "stretch," was reflected in many different areas of my life. I stretched outside of my comfort zone as I moved into my own place to live alone for the first time, started counseling, joined a Bible Study and tennis team, and fell in love. I am looking forward to new beginnings and experiences in 2022!
