Hilton Head 2021

This year we took our annual trip to Hilton Head a little later in the summer, but it was a great last getaway before the start of school! Charles and I headed down to Augusta on Friday the 23rd to get a jumpstart on the road trip. When we arrived, the whole Walker crew grabbed lunch downtown at Laziza and spent the rest of the afternoon lounging and catching up. That evening Charles and I grabbed a drink with his friend Sarah at The Arsenal and then cooked in with the family. The next day my parents arrived to scoop us up and head to the beach! Once we arrived to the house we got settled and headed to Coast for an adult only dinner before Sarah, Sam, and co. would get there. We loved embracing vacation mode over yummy seafood and awesome live music!

Sunday morning we took our time soaking up the view and riding bikes. Sarah, Sam, Charles, and I grabbed lunch at The Salty Dog and then headed to the beach! Sunday night we grilled out burgers, corn, and fries and then played a round of Five Crowns.

The young adults rode bikes to Harbour Town for a drink on Monday followed by a day at the beach. That night, we ended up having an impromptu additional date night at Nectar after we stopped by Salty Dog for ice cream for the kids. Everyone went with a tile fish dish and I had a delicious veggie burger! They also had amazing hushpuppies that were a hit.

The boys played golf on Tuesday and the girls got to visit with Addie and Trish! That night we ordered in pizza and played games. Wednesday Charles and I stayed with baby Charles while the others went on a long bike ride. Once they returned, we all ventured out to the beach. That night was date night, which included drinks at Links and a delicious and fun dinner at Truffles!

Thursday night was our big family outing to the tried and true Skull Creek Dockside. It was so fun venturing out together! Once we were back home we played Circle of Death with mom.

For our last day, we drove over to the ruins on the island. The young adults biked to Coast for a drink. Then, we soaked up as much beach time as possible, which led to a fun night watching the sun set and listening to music! We ordered take out from Salty Dog and played games.

Until next year, HHI!
