I travelled to Dallas this past weekend to visit my friend Caroline! It was the best way to start summer break. As soon as I arrived, we quickly got ready and headed to Bistro 31 for dinner, followed by drinks at the bar above the restaurant.
After a relaxing day sleeping in and lounging in pajamas, we went on a walk to one of my favorite places ever: Katy Trail Ice House! We had a great afternoon catching up over some beers and cheese fries. Afterwards, we regrouped at Caroline's apartment and headed to Hudson House for dinner followed by Drake's for a night cap.
We woke up Saturday morning and lounged a bit again before going to Up on Knox for brunch. From there, we stopped by a neighboring restaurant to say hello to Caroline's brother and his wife. Then, we ventured out to Backyard for a fun afternoon with some of Caroline's friends. We decided to have a chill night in complete with Tex-Mex take-out and Cruella.
We drove up to Grapevine on Sunday morning to meet Caroline's mom for a farewell brunch before heading to the airport. It was the absolute best weekend spending time with an old friend and jumpstarting summer break! Until next time, Dallas!
