A Wrap on Summer 2020

It's hard to believe we are approaching the end of July! While this time of year is usually bittersweet as I gear up for a new school year, the uncertainty of what our day to day will look like is causing a little more anxiety and hesitation than usual. That being said, I am soaking up these last few days of summer break so I feel recharged to take on our new normal in the classroom!

A few weeks ago I traveled to Saint Simons for five days with my sister and some of her friends. We had the best time cooking in yummy meals, playing games, and soaking up every minute on the beach. It was such a fun trip full of laughter and good fellowship!

This Friday a few of us headed out to Last Resort's new outdoor dining area for drinks! The new space is amazing and such a great way to utilize what used to be a parking lot! We then ordered take out from Taqueria Del Sol and headed to Sarah and Sam's for dinner and games.

Saturday we celebrated Sarah and baby Charles with a Sprinkle hosted by the GGs! I can't believe we are less than one month away from meeting him!

That night we headed to Al and Ali's for a Spiked Seltzer Tasting! I had been dying to do this and we were surprised by how hard it is to identify the different brands!

The weekend was extended to Monday as we had a pool day and potluck dinner at Nick and Shea's. I am so thankful for the memories I have made during my time in Athens this summer, and I can't believe the time has come for me to head back to Atlanta! Here we go- August!
