Life Lately

Today marked our official last day of school! While this day is always bittersweet, it tug the heart strings a little harder this year. These past few months of distance learning have been such a learning experience, and I will remember this unprecedented time forever. Outside of school, there have been some other updates and changes going on in my life as well!

1. I accomplished a lot of tasks while my parents were in Houston for almost three weeks and I was housesitting. I was able to take a virtual meditation class hosted by The Class, complete a few paintings, and tend to the garden. I am so impressed by how much it has grown, and we even have a few tomatoes popping up! I was so excited for my parents to return home, and my mom brought me the most thoughtful gift as a way to say thanks.

 2. Even though we are rounding out the month of May, we have been experiencing some cooler temps, which I am not complaining about! The sun came out a few weekends ago, so we headed up to Lake Burton for a day on the lake.

3. Mother's Day weekend started off with the moms joining our daily morning meeting. I was so thankful to have my own mom there! We enjoyed the weekend hanging out with the grandkids and playing a round of golf.

4. One major change over these past few months was my QUARANTINE CHOP! Six-ish inches later and I am still loving my new due!

5. We had so much fun starting Molly's wedding week off with a surprise drive by. We loved celebrating the bride to be and being able to all catch up. On their wedding day the bridesmaids joined a Zoom call to send our best wishes. I also sent the couple a surprise video from all of their loved ones that could not be there.

6. Our last day of school was complete with an End of Year Caravan on campus this morning. I loved seeing my students for the first time in months and sending them off with a sense of closure! I love my school so much.

Happy Summer!
