Last night I got back from the best long weekend in New York City with my sister! We arrived in Manhattan Friday evening and quickly checked into The Walker Hotel. From there we grabbed a pre-dinner cocktail at Brandy Library and then headed to Locanda Verde for our reservation. The sheep's milk ricotta was amazing and so was the the Insalata D'Andrea. We split the Ocrecchiette without duck, and it was yummy with the perfect hint of spice.
The next morning we headed to Tribeca for The Class. This was the best way to start our morning! We extended our workout with lots of walking around Soho to shop, stop for macaroons at Laduree, grab bagels at Sadelle's, and taste cookies from Levain. We regrouped at the hotel before meeting my friends Ashley and Doug at their neighborhood dive, The Rusty Knot. This bar had the most fun vibe and was a great place to stop before our dinner reservation at ABC Kitchen.
We jumpstarted our last full day on Sunday with brunch at Buvette in the West Village. Ashley joined us and then we headed to her apartment so Sarah could check out her amazing rooftop view. Once we got back to the hotel we packed up and headed to Central Park for our next stop! We dropped off our bags at The Omni Berkshire and then headed to The Plaza for drinks. The sweetest bartender treated us to some macaroons to celebrate Sarah's second preganancy! From there we made our way to Broadway for Chicago.
We went out big our last night with dinner at The Polo Bar, which was sooo yummy with the best vibes. We started with a delicious salad and popovers, followed by the veggie burger and fries. To top it all off, we treated ourselves to the salted caramel ice cream sundae.
We had an early wake up call on our last day as we headed to the set of Live with Kelly and Ryan! It was so much fun seeing these two in person and Ryan Seacrest seemed like such a nice guy. We had so much fun checking things out behind the scenes and being a part of the production. After we wrapped up at the show we spent the rest of the afternoon walking around the Upper East Side. The day was topped off with a slice of cake from Cipriani before heading to the airport.
Until next time, NYC!
