Asheville!

Last week my friend Ellie and I headed to Asheville for a few days to take advantage of our Fall Break. This was my first time to the charming city, and I was looking forward to a relaxing trip full of good food, drinks, and scenery. We headed up Wednesday morning and arrived just in time for lunch at White Duck Taco Shop.

After lunch we checked into our room before heading out for the day. We stayed at the charming Bunn House, and I cannot recommend this place enough. This restored home now serves as a quaint bed and breakfast, and is walking distance to downtown. Before arrival, the hotel reached out to us with tons of suggestions for our stay, and offered to make any reservations for us. Our room was stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks, as well as the best Loccitane products. Around the property there was a green space for croquet and an outdoor seating area, including music and a fire each night.  I was so impressed by the hospitality and am definitely planning another trip to this perfect B & B!

After dropping off our stuff we headed out for some brewery hopping. After lots of research, our first stop was New Belgium Brewery located right on the river. The scenery really made this one stand out. Afterwards we headed to Burial and Green Man Brewery before heading back and getting ready for dinner.

Dinner Wednesday night was at the raved-about Curate. This Spanish-style tapas restaurant made it easy to share and didn't leave us too full. We started with a cheese plate and then split the patatas bravas and goat cheese-stuffed peppers. The peppers were so good!!

Thursday morning we stopped by Biscuit Head before our hike. These biscuits did not disappoint, and the butter/jam/honey bar really showcased my indecisiveness!! Afterwards we went to Dupont Point to hike the Triple Falls trail. This hike was so pretty!

On the way back into town we stopped by the Omni Grove Park Inn for a drink on the back patio. This hotel is so beautiful and the view was amazing! Afterwards we headed back to our room to freshen up for dinner.

Dinner was at Rhubarb, which was our favorite of the two. Since it was our last night, we definitely indulged! The menu changes daily, but we started with the goat cheese burrata and the pimento pups. We both went with the gnudi for our main course. We weren't feeling any of the desserts they offered, so we walked next door to Posana for ice cream and coffee. They serve 3 mini scoops, so we both decided on a scoop of vanilla, cinnamon, and pumpkin chocolate chip.... yum! Afterwards we took advantage of the outdoor fire pit and drank some wine and listened to music.

Before heading out of town Friday morning, we stopped by the highly recommended Early Girl Eatery for breakfast. Then, we drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway to do a quick hike up the Craggy Pinnacle Trail. We really appreciated the views up the mountain, but sadly it was so foggy once we got to the top. Definitely a reason to visit again!

This trip was the perfect little getaway and I can't wait to plan another trip soon!
