This past weekend our mom's best friend hosted an "Around The Clock" Bridal Shower for Sarah! Each guest is assigned a time throughout the day on the invitation and they bring a gift relevant to that time. All the bridesmaids chipped in to get Sarah the Kitchen Aid mixer she wanted and gave her a recipe that could be made at the time we were assigned instead. Now she can use the mixer at anytime throughout the day :)
Mrs. White makes the most amazing cake pops and look at her cute arrangement!
The menu included pimento cheese, chicken salad croissants, pasta salad, broccoli salad, guacamole and tomato dip, feisty corn dip, and fruit.
This yummy punch recipe is definitely something I will make again. It has the best taste and not to mention it has champagne AND wine :)
1 (12 ounce) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate, almost thawed
1 (12 ounce) can frozen pink lemonade concentrate, almost thawed
1 (12 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, almost thawed
1 (750 mL) bottle white wine, chilled
2 (750 mL) bottles champagne, chilled
1 liter carbonated water or 1 liter club soda, chilled
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 cup fresh mint
1 (12 ounce) package strawberries or raspberries, frozen
Combine all in a large punch bowl. Add the frozen fruit just before serving. The mint can be left in the punch bowl or removed just before serving.
We played a cute little game throughout the whole shower. Each guest picked up a plastic ring when they arrived. Throughout the shower we were not allowed to say the words Sarah, Sam, or wedding. Whoever caught someone saying any of those words would take their ring. We had a chance to get our ring back by catching someone else, but by the end of the shower whoever had the most rings got a little prize! It was really fun since it was ongoing and got a little competitive :)
103 days until the big day!!!
